Friday night, November 21, 2014, was a night entered into the history books. Parents, family members and friends filled the lower level seats of the Syracuse Carrier Dome to watch a different kind of game. For the first time ever two high school teams - CNS Northstars and Baldwinsville Bees - don their hockey gear and skated onto the ice rink that temporarily covered the space normally used for basketball and football at the Syracuse Carrier Dome.
The Syracuse Crunch were the first to test out the ice during their afternoon practice, but CNS and Baldwinsville were the first teams to go head-to-head. It was an exciting and intense event. CNS scored the first goal of the game in the first period. After a quick repair of the ice, second period started and Baldwinsville scored. By the end of the third period, the score was tied - 2-2 and the teams headed into overtime. It only took 45 seconds of overtime for CNS to score and clinch the win.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2014-2015 CNS VARSITY TEAM!!!!!
